What is Beard Transplantation?
The beard transplant is a minor procedure, performed under local anaesthetic at our Medicacity Clinic in Turkey, Istanbul. During the beard transplant, suitable hair follicles, which are genetically resistant to the balding process, are selected from the donor region at the back of your head. These hairs are then re-implanted one by one to make up your new facial hair.

How FUE Beard Transplant Works
Beard transplant technique uses a custom trumpet punch, less than 1mm in diameter, to carefully isolate hair grafts from your donor region. Once these suitable hairs are obtained, they are trimmed under high magnification to a uniform size, prior to being implanted into the recipient facial area.

During the FUE beard transplant, we shave your hair at the back and sides for the FUE extraction process, leaving your hair longer on top, if preferred. Typically, most men strategically get a fade hair cut prior to their procedural date, so that the hair grows back uniformly together.

At our Medicacity Clinic in Turkey, Istanbul we are able to design your preferred beard, goatee or moustache, taking into account your facial features and current beard growth.

You can expect to see your new beard growth between 6-12 months post-op, with continued maturation of the hair quality up to 18 months until the final result of your FUE beard transplant.
